Shoshana Aal, Pys.D. I am passionate about providing counseling to clients through individual and couples therapy. I have over 9 years of experience providing mental health therapy across the Denver Metro area and the greater Colorado. My work as a psychologist and couples therapist has focused on a variety of matters including, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, grief/loss, depression, cultural diversity, LGBTQ and women’s health (pregnancy, infertility, pregnancy loss, pre/post-partum anxiety and depression).
I have a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from The University of Denver, Graduate School of Professional Psychology. I am also an active member in the American Psychological Association (APA) and The Colorado Psychological Association (CPA).
I work collaboratively with my clients while providing them with warmth and understanding. I tailor my therapy to meet each of her clients’ individual needs by helping them gain insight into themselves. In addition to process and systemic work, I use practical interventions such as relaxation techniques, mindfulness and exposure-based interventions. My approach to counseling and couples therapy allows clients to effectively explore, process and work through negative patterns so they can achieve the change they seek.
